GENUINE ARTIFACTS
I have been a lifelong artifact collector. The curiosity about arrowheads is the chief reason I became a flintknapper. I enjoy making archaeologically correct reproductions. The best way to accomplish this is to study as many genuine pieces as possible. I am going to offer some of my study pieces. These will tell a flintknapper all he needs to know to replicate the point style, at a fraction of the price of a complete point. Rather than spending hundreds or thousands for a single pristine point, a quality study piece can be had for $20 or less. All my artifacts are quaranteed authentic for LIFE.
Turkeytails are one of the best point styles from the Woodland period. There were manufacturing centers in Harrison County, Indiana, Union County, Illinois, and Hardin County, Kentucky. These represent most varieties of this popular style. All but the bottom row are Indiana Hornstone from Harrison County. The bottom row are Sonora flint from Hardin County.
