| My Ishi sticks are constructed from a 20 inch long piece of 7/8 inch diameter structural nylon. This material is more expensive but experience has shown that it keeps the setscrews from stripping out much better than the Delrin most vendors use. This nylon is machined on a lathe to accept the most popular size copper nail in BOTH ends (not one end like some of the cheapos on the market). They each include both nails and each nail is held in place by two setscrews. Refill nails are readily available. |
